Would you like to help make a difference? Sukkat Shalom is built on community and participation. Our services, potlucks, and celebrations come alive because we help one another—and we are always looking for more people who want to get involved practically in our activities.
Contributing your time and care is not only a fantastic way to get to know more people in the congregation, but it is also a meaningful mitzvah to help build and strengthen our community.
What can you help with? We need help with tasks big and small before and during our gatherings. Examples of tasks include:
Setup & table setting: Helping set up tables and chairs, and laying the tables for events such as our communal potlucks and kiddushes.
Welcoming: Standing at the door, greeting guests, and making sure everyone feels seen and at home the moment they walk in.
Practical errands: Purchasing supplies and items for our events.
Tidying up: Helping with light clearing up and restoring the space afterward.
You do not need to commit every week or to every occasion—every small contribution makes a big difference!
Who can become a volunteer? For practical and security reasons, volunteer roles are open exclusively to members of Sukkat Shalom or the Jewish Community of Stockholm (Judiska Församlingen i Stockholm).
Would you like to join?
Send an email to info@sukkatshalom.se letting us know that you are interested, and feel free to mention what you would prefer to help with.
Together, we create a warm and welcoming gathering place for everyone. We look forward to hearing from you!
